Marsupials are female animals that contain pouches. Marsupials live mostly in Australasia and America. Marsupials are mammals besides their pouches, at birth marsupial babies are not fully developed. The baby’s hind legs are just nubs, the baby lives and continues to develop in the mother’s pouch. Marsupials evolved in the late Cretaceous Period, about 100 to 75 years ago, during the time of the dinosaurs.

A Quokka is a marsupial, herbivorous, and a mainly nocturnal animal. Quokkas have round compact bodies that are about 40-54cm in length. The female gives birth to a baby called a joey. Female Quokkas can give birth about twice a year. The joey lives in its mothers pouch for about six months, when it leaves the pouch it still relies on its mothers milk for two more months. Quokkas are called the happiest animal in the world because it seems like it is smiling all the time, even when it is sleeping! The Quokkas scientific name is Setonix Brachyurus. It is about the size of a domestic cat.

A Wallaby is a marsupial, herbivorous, and small compared to its close relative the Kangaroos. Wallabies like to live in herds and their life span is about 12-15 human years. The Wallabies’ closest relative is the Kangaroo and a Wallaby can grow to about two meters in length. Adult male Wallabies can also be called bucks, boomers, or jacks. An adult female wallaby is known as a doe, flyer, or jill. The Wallbies’ habitat is normally in forest or shrubland. They mainly eat grasses, fruits, seeds, and leaves. Its predetors are dingos, foxes, and large reptiles. There are roughly 30 species of Wallabies known. The Wallaby has strong and powerful legs which the Wallaby hops on in order to move around. The female has a pouch to raise her young and gives birth to a single baby but twins occasionally, known as a joey. It stays in the mothers pouch until it is fully developed. The Wallabies’ scientific name it the Macropus.

Traveling

I would like to visit Sydney in Australia and Paris in France. I would need to pack most of all my clothes, shoes, toothbrush, toothpaste, and more stuff for good hygine. If I am allowed to I would bring my pet Guinea pig, Whisky and my puppy Rex, ( even though his real name is Bernard Rex). I would travel on plane so I could get to my destination faster. I would stay in a hotel near stores and resturants so i could get food from the grocery store or resturaunts, buy clothes, and find a job near where I am. My budget would be 1 billion dollars, some of the money would go to stores and resturants and souvenirs but most of ot would go to the plane ticket and hotel. A cup of coffee in Sydney would cost around $3.28 and in Paris it would cost between $2.50-$3.50. I am going to stay in Sydney for 7 months and I am going to stay in Paris for 3 months. There are many amazing sights in Sydney like Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Manly Beach, Toronga Zoo, Wild Life Sydney and more! In Paris they have the Eiffel Tower, Bois de Bouloge and more! I am having lots of fun seeing all these sights in Sydney and walking around meeting new people, like my friends at work at Wild Life Sydney! I am having lots of fun working here because I love animals and interacting with them almost every single day makes every single day even greater! In Paris i worked in a coffee shop for at least 3 weeks, it was fun working there because I was able to get free drinks! I am so excited to tell my family about all my great advetures! I loved everything in both of the countries I visited the only bad thing was not being able to see my family but also not staying there long enough. I would love to visit the same places again because of the great people I met and sights,  especially Sydney!

Horseball

Horseball is a game played on horseback where a ball is handled and points are scored by shooting it through a hoop. Horseball is originated from Argentina. The game or sport is like a combination of polo, rugby, and basketball.

The Rules of the Game

There is a team of four players and two sustitutes if needed. There is also a minimum of three passess between three players on a team. The opposite team can defend by preventing them from being able to score by either pushing opponents out of the playing area using their horse’s weight or by getting beside a player and grabbing the ball from the opponent. In this situation, each rider must remain seated in the saddle. If a player leaves the saddle they will give away a penalty. If both stay seated and the defender achives to keep hold of the ball for 3 seconds then their team earns a penalty.

When the ball is dropped or falls to the ground, anyone can pick it up as long as they are travelling in the same direction as when the ball was dropped. This is to avoid any riders coming head to head while picking up the ball and to prevent a collision. While picking the ball up during a game the player must not come to a stand still.

I do like doing something a little similar to horse ball. I sometimes go to visit my cousin and his son. From his house we go to a ranch where his horse is and then we go on a track and go horseback riding.

Stripe Fever

My favorite animal is the Sumatran Tiger. I love this animal because of it different textures, features, and of course its cuteness. In my paragraphs I will tell you why and more specific reasons why I am interested in this animal and details about this animal.

I like this animal because of its marvelous stripes and color. I like the stripes on a tiger because all tigers all over the world , not two have the same stripe pattern. Also there color orange can sometimes be viberent depending the tiger, and their color is cool because not many animals have that color.

I also like this animal because it enjoys swimming in water unlike housecats and I also like swimming which makes me like this animal more. Swimming advantages the animal to catch its prey and drown it. It can also catch animals that live in the water.

Daily in society tigers are mistreated, abused, and harmed. Some tigers are locked up in cages at the zoo not able to roam around a lot or have freedom. Some tigers expirence being whipped or beaten to do a trick or command that someone forces them to do. That is why more people should love this animal and bring awareness.
